About Us

Don’t Be A Monster (DBAM) is a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with haunted attractions across the United States to support the causes that matter most to our community.

 

In the past, DBAM has proudly raised funds to bring free bullying prevention assemblies to schools across the United States. This impactful program continued until 2020, when the pandemic caused widespread school closures and paused our ability to deliver assemblies in person. As the world has evolved since that time, so have the needs of the communities we serve. In response, we have taken this opportunity to thoughtfully reimagine DBAM while keeping our commitment the same: to uplift, listen to, and stand alongside those who have shown us so much support over the years.

 

This year, DBAM is proud to launch its first-ever Costume Drive, providing brand-new Halloween costumes to children in need in select cities this fall. Our core values continue to guide us as we work toward a world where kindness is championed and individuality is celebrated. Our goal is to raise funds to donate as many costumes as possible across the country, ensuring that more children have the opportunity to experience the magic and joy of Halloween.
